Texas just opened the door for rural counties to upgrade their EMS fleet with major state funding. Is your county ready?

What Is HB 3000?

HB 3000 is a Texas state grant designed to strengthen Rural EMS by helping counties purchase new ambulances. The goal: improve response times, replace aging units, and support communities with limited budgets.

This is a one-time grant per county — and missing the application window means missing out permanently.

Who Qualifies?

Your County may be eligible if:

✔ Population is 68,750 or less
✔ EMS services are licensed by DSHS
✔ EMS operates primarily in rural territory
✔ The county submits one application per fiscal year
✔ The county has not received an HB 3000 grant previously

How Much Funding Can Your County Receive?

Counties under 10,000 population
→ Eligible for up to $500,000

Counties between 10,000 and 68,750
→ Eligible for up to $350,000

Funds can be awarded before the purchase order is placed, giving counties flexibility to plan ahead.
