Expansion Nearing Completion at Pierce Manufacturing

Siddons-Martin is excited to see the growth and expansion of the manufacturing facilities at Pierce Manufacturing.  Oshkosh Truck Corporation recently invested in expansion to several key facilities.  When completed, these projects will help provide Pierce with a stronger foundation to keep up with the continued growth and demand for Pierce products.  We are looking forward to seeing these expansions completed in the first quarter of 2023.

A 90,000 sq. ft. area has been added to the American Drive facility for ladder and aerial sub-assembly, tiller assembly and rescue assembly.  This expansion and product move will increase the fabrication areas at the IPP plant as well as increase fabrication area for aerial products for greater through put.

The Neenah Facility, will handle chassis and cab build processes, increasing production floor space by adding an additional 60,000 sq. ft.  Fabrication capacity has also been added at the Weyauwega facility to support additional fabrication processes.  The Weyauwega facility is home to Pierce’s accident repair and refurbishment services.

The blue floor is growing by an additional 15,000 sq.ft. for expansion of the customer pickup and checkout areas and graphics will also be relocated to an expanded area within the American Drive plant.  Pierce expects to add an additional 200 new employees to accommodate the growth.

The investments and improvements to the Pierce facilities will improve the customer experience while reducing lead times.  We applaud the investments being made and welcome the improvements to the business and production facilities.  Look for more updates as these projects near completion in early 2023.
